Classes In Indian-Fusion Dance Academy

Indian-Fusion Dance Academy offers classes that are unique in nature. Indian-Fusion Dance Academy offers both Bollywood only dance classes and Combo Classes comprising of Bharathanatiyam and Bollywood instruction.

 Bollywood Classes:

These are high energy classes designed to keep your child happy and learning. Class is offered for multiple age groups. The class structure is as follows

  • Whole body stretching and warm up -10 mins
  • Bollywood/folk dance instruction - 30 mins
  • Water Break - 5 mins
  • Free dance/practice - 5 mins
  • Parents come in to observe and video record what the kids have learnt that day while the kids revise the steps learnt - 10 mins

Levels Offered in Bollywood training

  1. Beginner Level - No experience necessery
  2. Intermediate level I - Equivalent of one year of experience learning/performing dance.
  3. Intermediate level II - Equivalent of two years of experience learning/performing dance.
  4. Advanced Level I - Equivalent of three years of experience learning/performing dance.
  5. Advanced Level II - Equivalent of four years of experience learning/performing dance.
**Note: All placements are subject to the directors judgement of a students skill. If the director feels that the student is not suitable for the level, the student will be moved to an appropriate level.

 Combo/Classical Classes:

These are for children who want to learn classical along with Bollywood/folk dancing. It is offered to multiple age groups. Students learn both the basics of Bharathanatiyam and Bollywood dancing simultaneously. Bharathanatiyam is taught in Kalakshetra style of dancing.

Combo/classical classes come with 30 mins of classical training and 60 mins of Bollywood/folk training.

The students maybe in different levels of classical and bollywood classes. For example: A student can be in the beginner level of classical, but in intermediate level I of Bollywood.

Minimum age for classical training is 6 years/discretion of the director. The class timings are usually worked in a way it benefits most children.

Levels presently offered in classical training

  3. Intermediate level II - Equivalent of two years of experience learning Bharathanatiyam from a renowned teacher.
